INGESOM collaborates with the multinational company EFI in the programming of the new Nozomi C18000 digital printer.

Ingesom as an expert engineering in development on the .net platform, has collaborated in the programming of the control screen of the new inkjet printing machine “Nozomi C18000” of the prestigious multinational EFI™ (Electronics For Imaging) for the industrial packaging sector in corrugated cardboard. This innovative single-pass LED printer, capable of reaching a speed of 75m/min and printing up to 1.8 m in length, was presented during the main reference trade fair for the graphic and industrial printing sector, drupa 2016, in Dusseldorf (Germany), which took place from May 31 to June 10, 2016.
DRUPA 2016 in Düsseldorf (Germany)The development of this machine has involved different development teams from all over the multinational, including the one responsible for the Cretaprint™ ceramic tile printers whose headquarters are located in Castellón (Spain), and with whom we have collaborated directly to achieve a final product of the quality required for such an innovative machine in its sector. Microsoft technologies such as WPF have been used and a workflow based on a constant exchange of information with incremental deliveries of the finished material has been followed.
“EFI’s next generation brings to market the strongest combination of versatility, image quality and production speed at a total cost of ownership that is well below similar single-pass platforms,” said Guy Gecht, CEO of EFI. “When it becomes commercially available next year, the Nozomi C18000 will finally offer the corrugated packaging market a unique solution for establishing a profitable business around on-demand custom digital printing.”
